Step 1
Install and pick a faction
Download Aion 2 on Steam or PURPLE. Founder's Pack owners had Advance Access from September 30; everyone else joins free at global launch on October 5. Choose Elyos or Asmodian — it defines PvP and story alignment.
Step 2
Pick a class
Eight classes cover tank, heal, support, and DPS roles. Use A2M filters by role, then read launch tier notes before you commit your first character.
Step 3
Plan builds elsewhere, meta here
A2M links to community build planners, databases, and skill sims instead of cloning them. Use External Tools for gear math and rotations; use A2M for curated launch tiers and (later) Premium site rankings among importers.
Step 4
Premium and rankings
Network Premium ($1.99/mo) removes ads across Sinistous meta sites. On A2M, Premium also unlocks site rankings after we enable character snapshot imports — not official NCSoft ladders.

Pre-launch / EA window
- Tour `/classes` and `/tier-list` — editorial placeholders, not scraped ladders
- Show `/tools` — AION2 Hub, aion2.app sim, AionFlex lookups
- Explain imports paused until post-launch validation (`/launch`)
Global launch day (Oct 5+)
- Walk `/getting-started` for new viewers installing on Steam
- Level together — call out PvE vs open-world PvP tier sections
- Tease Premium ad-free + future site rankings when imports flip
First week after launch
- Validate manual snapshot fields on stream before enabling imports
- If rankings add value — flip `A2M_CHARACTER_IMPORTS_ENABLED` and demo `/rankings`
- If not — keep the free hub; retire rankings per network plan
